Isabel Soto Méndez

María Isabel Soto Méndez is a partner and Head of Services at G2 Investment Banking. She joined the firm in 2015 as a senior consultant and led strategic planning, commercial strategy, financial modelling and capital-raising structuring engagements in sectors including fintech, e-commerce, health, education, renewable energy, SaaS and retail.

In 2018 she took over the consulting management role, responsible for delivering strategic services to clients and to the G2 Momentum Capital portfolio, with multidisciplinary teams and projects on growth, financing, organization and processes. Since 2021 she has been partner and Head of Services, leading the group’s consulting, accounting, recruiting, legal, content marketing and public relations areas.

She sits on the investment committee of G2 Momentum Capital and of G2 Fintech Fund, where she is also a partner, and takes part in the strategic and financial evaluation of early-stage startups. She has more than thirteen years of professional experience, almost ten of them leading teams and strategic and financial advisory work for startups and growth companies in Latin America.

Before G2 she worked in internal communications, new business development and private client service at Banorte, the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico and Integra Consulting LLC.

She holds a degree in marketing from Tecnológico de Monterrey and an MBA from IPADE Business School; she completed an international programme at the Universität St. Gallen in Switzerland and in 2024 was selected for the VC Unlocked: Silicon Valley programme by Stanford University and 500 Global.
