Konko AI: USD 6 million led by Hi Ventures to automate the patient journey

An AI platform that already resolves 75% of interactions across 90 institutions in Mexico, Colombia and Costa Rica raises capital from a Mexican fund to grow across the region.

Konko AI, an artificial intelligence platform for managing the patient journey at clinics and hospitals, announced on 2 September 2026 a USD 6 million round led by Hi Ventures. It matters because it is capital from a Mexican fund for a company operating in Mexico, and because the published metrics speak to the clinic’s revenue, not only to physician time.

The transaction

Round of USD 6 million. Lead investor: Hi Ventures. LifeX Ventures, SquareOne Capital, GroundUp Ventures, Phoenix Fund and angel investors participated. Valuation, instrument and stage of the round were not disclosed. The company is headquartered in New York and San José, Costa Rica, and operates in Mexico, Colombia and Costa Rica. It was founded by Jean-Marc Goguikian, chief executive, and Michael Haddad.

The product covers four modules: front office (messaging, triage and scheduling), patient reactivation, record unification and real-time analytics. According to the release, it manages more than 2 million patient interactions across 90 institutions and 60 specialties; 75% of interactions are resolved end to end by AI, and clients report up to 30% higher revenue, 50% higher productivity and 30% higher patient satisfaction. Proceeds will go to product development and expansion across Latin America.

Value drivers

The metric is clinic revenue. Unlike platforms that sell physician time, Konko reports up to 30% more revenue for the client through reactivation and fewer lost appointments. In our reading, that argument shortens the sales cycle with the clinic administrator, who buys on cash flow.

Autonomous resolution. That 75% of interactions close without human intervention defines the unit economics: every additional point lowers the cost to serve. It is a company figure and the methodology is not detailed.

Interoperability. The release presents the platform as interoperable with the institution’s existing systems. For mid-sized clinics in Mexico, which rarely change their management system, integration is the condition of entry and explains adoption across 90 institutions.

A Mexican fund in the lead. Hi Ventures leads a company without a Mexican headquarters but with operations in the country. It is our interpretation that the fund values access to Mexican clinics as the main asset of the thesis.

What the market is signalling

For Mexico, the signal is that AI for patient front office and follow-up now has local capital and comparables with metrics: Konko in clinics, Leona Health with the independent physician and Telepatia in hospital systems. Clinic operators and specialty groups will receive automation offers with revenue promises; they should demand the measurement.

For Mexican founders of clinic software, the bar is to report interactions resolved, active institutions and impact on client revenue. For strategic buyers, clinic networks or insurers, a platform with 90 institutions and 60 specialties is an early acquisition asset if retention per institution holds. For lenders, the scale is still small for debt; the next milestone is the Series A.

G2’s reading for a mandate

In a round of this size, the investment committee buys the trajectory of three metrics: interactions resolved by AI, active institutions and incremental revenue attributable to the client. Our preparation consists of building those series with data per institution, separating the reactivation effect from the scheduling effect and documenting retention, because that will be the basis of valuation in the next round and of a strategic buyer’s interest in Mexico.
