On 30 June 2026, Higharc, a Durham, North Carolina-based artificial intelligence platform from design to construction for homebuilders, announced a USD 95 million Series C led by Insight Partners. It is a US transaction that we include as a reference for the Mexican market: it sets the profile of vertical software for residential construction that attracts growth funds and corporates from the building materials chain in the same round.
The transaction
- Parties. Insight Partners as lead investor; Wellington as a new investor; existing investors Fifth Wall, Spark Capital, Lux Capital, SE Ventures, Simpson Strong-Tie, PSP, RXR Arden, Suffolk, Vertex, NC Tweener and MetaProp participated (PR Newswire, 30 June 2026).
- Instrument and amount. USD 95 million in primary capital. Valuation not disclosed.
- Capital raised to date. More than USD 170 million since its founding in 2018. The USD 53 million Series B, on 15 February 2024, was led by Spark Capital and Pillar with participation from Home Depot, Ferguson and Starwood, and took the total to USD 78.7 million (Higharc, 15 February 2024).
- Product and use of proceeds. 3D models, design, estimating and sales for homebuilders; expansion to building materials distributors with an artificial intelligence estimating product and a commercial agreement with US LBM, the largest private distributor of lumber and building materials in the United States.
- Results cited. A 25% to 50% reduction in time to community opening and a 10% to 15% improvement in margin for homebuilders using the platform, according to the company.
Value drivers
Measurable results on site. Time to community opening and margin are the two variables a homebuilder pays to improve. In our reading, the Series C rests on those two numbers more than on the artificial intelligence narrative.
The materials chain at the table. Simpson Strong-Tie, Suffolk, Home Depot, Ferguson and now the agreement with US LBM place the platform between design and the materials order. In our reading, that position extends the addressable market from homebuilders to distributors and explains the entry of a growth fund such as Insight.
Primary capital with no disclosed secondary. The sources describe the round as primary capital; there is no indication of share sales by founders or early investors.
Valuation not disclosed. With no published revenue it is not possible to infer the multiple; any estimate would be speculative and we omit it.
What the market is signalling
In Mexico, software for developers and homebuilders is at seed stage: Lebane, an artificial intelligence-native project management platform for developers that runs on WhatsApp, raised USD 4 million in February 2026 with 60 customers in the country and proceeds earmarked for Mexico (LatamList, 12 February 2026). Higharc marks the ceiling of the category: more than USD 170 million raised and, in the neighbouring segment of new-home data, the sale of Zonda to CoStar for USD 800 million in August 2026.
In our reading, corporate investors from the materials chain are a source of capital still little explored by Mexican companies in the sector. A distributor or a materials manufacturer that joins the round brings distribution as well as capital, and is a potential buyer in a later sale.
G2’s reading for a mandate
A Mexican construction software company preparing a Series A or B should measure and document, customer by customer, the platform’s effect on construction time and margin, with a methodology that withstands due diligence; it is the figure Higharc brings to every round. The competitive process should include, alongside the funds, materials and construction corporates under a term sheet that limits information rights and commercial exclusivity, so that the strategic participation does not close the door to other buyers.
