Dapp

Series A · USD 12.4 M

Dapp is a payments network that lets merchants offer multiple payment methods and gives their customers access to financial services otherwise unavailable to them. After a seed round that funded its platform and merchant network, the company needed capital to expand that network, its payment solutions and its integrations with key partners. G2 advised the USD 12.4 M Series A, in which Kalonia Venture Partners, G2 Momentum Capital and other investors participated.

Context

Dapp had closed its seed round and used it to build its platform and merchant network. It was at an inflection point and needed a significant capital injection to expand.

Challenge

Define the size, structure and terms of a Series A in a competitive payments market, and reach the right investors with a sound investment case.

What G2 did

G2 built the financial projections and valuation in line with the growth strategy, prepared the investor materials, defined the round strategy, identified funds with a thesis fit, facilitated introductions and follow-up, prepared the due diligence information and supported the negotiation and review of the investment agreements.

Outcome

USD 12.4 M Series A with Kalonia Venture Partners, G2 Momentum Capital and other investors.

Participation of a group vehicle. G2 Momentum Capital, the group’s venture capital vehicle, participated as an investor in the round on the same terms as the other investors.
